GOD THE FATHER
We believe in one God, the Almighty Father, Creator of heaven and earth – the source of all that is seen and unseen (Genesis 1:1; Colossians 1:16; Nehemiah 9:6). We believe all life flows from Him, and by His sovereign will all creation is sustained (Psalm 104:24-30; Hebrews 1:3). We believe God is holy and just, merciful and loving, abounding in steadfast faithfulness (Exodus 34:6-7; Psalm 89:14; 1 John 4:8). We believe all blessings flow from Him, and to Him all glory belongs forever (James 1:17; Revelation 4:11).
Praise His holy name forever! Amen (Psalm 145:1-3).
Jesus the Son of God
We believe in Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, begotten of the Father before all ages, both fully God and fully human (John 1:1-3,14; Colossians 2:9). We believe all creation came into being through Jesus Christ (Genesis 1:1; John 1:3: Colossians 1:16). To redeem humanity from eternal suffering, we believe Jesus descended from heaven, was conceived by the Holy Spirit, and was born of the Virgin Mary (Luke 1:26-35; Matthew 1:18-23). We believe He lived among us in perfect obedience – completely sinless
(Hebrews 4:15; 2 Corinthians 5:21).
We believe while Jesus was praying in the Garden of Gethsemane, He was captured, put on trial, subjected to slander, violence, torturous beatings, then was crucified under Pontius Pilate (Matthew 26:36-56; Matthew 27:11-31; John 19:16-18). We believe He bore the sins of all humanity, endured separation from the Father, died upon the cross, and descended to the dead, proclaiming life and liberty to the souls in spiritual darkness (Isaiah 53:4-6; 1 Peter 3:18-20; Romans 5:6-8).
We believe that Jesus rose to victory after being in the grave for three days, conquering sin and death (Luke 24:1-7; 1 Corinthians 15:30-4). We believe He appeared to His disciples, ascended into heaven, and reigns at the right hand of the Father (Acts 1:9-11; Hebrews 1:3). We believe He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and His kingdom shall have no end (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 11:15).
The Holy Spirit
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord and giver of life, who originates from the Father (John 15:26) and the Son (John 16:7). We believe the Holy Spirit shares equal glory and majesty with the Father and the Son (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). We believe He interceds with groanings to the Father on our behalf (Romans 8:26-27). We believe the Holy Spirit inspired the prophets and apostles (2 Peter 1:20-21; 2 Timothy 3:16), and convicts the world of their sin (John 16:8). We believe He guides believers into all truth (John 16:13), unites us in Christ (1 Corinthians 12:13; Ephesians 4:4-6), and sanctifies the Church (1 Corinthians 6:11; 2 Thessalonians 2:13). We believe the Spirit also provides spiritual gifts for ministry (1 Corinthians 12:4-11; Romans 12:6-8), confirms our salvation (Ephesians 1:13-14), and offers the promise of resurrection and eternal life (Romans 8:11; John 14:2-3).
The Universal Church
We believe in one sacred, catholic (universal), and apostolic Church – the embodiment of Christ’s presence on Earth (Ephesians 1:22-23; Matthew 16:18; Acts 2:42-47). We believe the universal Church is guided and empowered by the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8; John 16:13), serves as a communion of saints, spans diverse cultures and historical periods, is unified through worship, faith, and shares the same mission (1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Colossians 1:18). We believe in the significance of one full emersion baptism for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 3:13-17; Ephesians 4:4-5), the global dissemination of the Gospel (Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 16:15), the future resurrection of the Church (1 Corinthians 15:20-22; John 5:28-29), and the promise of eternal life in the divine presence of God
(John 14:2-3; Revelation 21:3-4).
